What is Hypnosis?
Simply stated, Hypnosis is a naturally occurring altered state of consciousness, or a trance state, similar to daydreaming or when engrossed in a good book or watching a movie. While in this focused state of attention, you can communicate with and use the power of your intuitive, resourceful subconscious mind to let go of unwanted behaviour and help you create the changes you want. Here, empowering ideas and suggestions are more readily accepted and acted upon, thereby expanding your energy, confidence and skills, and enabling the desired changes to occur.
What Hypnosis is NOT
Hypnosis is not sleep, brain washing nor black magic. It's a naturally
recurring state of mind utilised to your benefit. You do not lose
control during hypnosis. A hypnotised person cannot be forced to say or
do anything against his/her moral will. We work with that part of you
that wants to change. As all hypnosis is basically self-hypnosis,
hypnosis is not a "do to" process, but rather a "do with" process. The
therapist is the tour guide, but you always drive the bus.
Neuro Linguistic Programming can be used with or without hypnosis and offers particularly quick and effective techniques for removing limiting beliefs and negative emotions that block and hold you back in life. Through the creative use of language and imagery, long standing issues such as never feeling good enough, fear of failure, guilt, anger, performance anxiety, etc, can be broken through or even eliminated within minutes.

Emotional Freedom Technique, or 'tapping' as it is often called, is a scientifically proven stress reduction technique. Evidence-based research has shown that the use of EFT significantly lowers cortisol levels in the body and calms down the classic fight or flight response. EFT combines elements of Chinese Acupuncture, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Exposure Therapy by gently tapping on key acupuncture points around the body while focusing on a specific issue. It is remarkably quick to work and has the ability to efficiently pair a neutral or even calming response with a traumatic memory. In 2017, the U.S Veterans Administration (VA) approved the use of EFT to assist war veterans with PTSD after viewing extensive trials and evidence of its efficacy.
It is a method for safely releasing Food Cravings, Stress, Anxiety, Phobias, Physical Pain, Addictions, Trauma, Painful Emotions, enhancing Sports Performance and more. Clinical trials have shown EFT to be very effective for helping with Weight Loss. It is an extremely effective self-help technique that is so simple to do, even little children find it easy to learn and use.
